Custom Crushes

A custom crush by definition is a wine that's made by one winery for another winery or person using his or her's specific instructions. We've done several custom crushes for wineries like Stone Wolf, Benton Lane, and Domaine Meriwether in the past. This list represents the custom crushes that we sell in our tasting room.

Domaine Meriwether's 1999 Cpt. Clark Cuveé

Doug LaVelle started a relationship with Jack Baghdad back in the 1990's that's been carried over into the 21st century by Buzz Kawders, the current Managing Partner. Cpt. Clark Cuveé Sparkling is a traditional blend of 75% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay, and a 1% dosage of Pinot Meunier.

Fairfield's 2004 Reserve Pinot Noir

Steve Fairfield is a lawyer from New Mexico who we've produced several custom crushes for. This 2004 Reserve Pinot Noir has the classic cherry flavors associated with Burgundian Pinots with just a hint of vanilla and various earthy flavors in the finish.
